SHALAMROOD
Manuchehr Ehterami (1941 – 2009 CE) was one of the bestselling Iranian authors of children’s books. He had written many iconic books and created famous characters, such as Hasani. His stories, often carrying moral lessons for children, became part of the Iranian culture.
“Shalamrood” is the name of an imaginary village that was appeared for the first time in one of Ehterami’s books in the early 80s. Since that day, many children have spent their days wandering in “Shalamrood” among the characters who were created by Manouchehr Ehterami and illustrated by Kianoush Latifi.
Our “Shalamrood” design – that includes the word Shalamrood in Farsi – is our way to remember Manouchehr Ehterami’s respected career as an author. As grown-up children, we are still sometimes walk in “Shalamrood”.
